I’m a black, grey and white color palette type of gal, but I’ve really been trying to switch to a softer color palette and I’m loving it! This cowlneck tunic sweater from the Loft is one of the best sweaters of the season. It’s longer in length and slightly oversized which makes it an instant hit for me. I know, old habits die hard, but the black is super chic looking. Once again I’ve opted to pair this sweater with my 7 For All Mankind b jeans, which are my go to dressy jeans this season.

I tend to click my heels together when I walk so having a none suede heel gives this boot a longer life. I’ve been wearing them with dresses, jeans and leggings all through fall and will continue to in the winter. All-black is another outfit idea that’s pretty fail-safe! Thanksgiving outfit ideas for Thanksgiving 2022!
I’m wearing an adorable black denim skirt and the cutest orange tank top from TJ Maxx. This hue is perfect for the holiday and looked adorable with some off white layers paired with I️t. A women poncho wrap is an essential autumn wardrobe piece and can be worn with leggings, jeans, and winter boots. A women’s knit poncho is also perfect for a casual Thanksgiving fit and adds an extra layer of warmth. Last year I shared my Thanksgiving Day outfit idea and since so many of you loved that post, I am once again sharing what I’ll be wearing this year.
Did I mention they have the perfect amount of stretch in them? Which is ideal for big holiday meals and eating tons of pecan pie. If you want that polished look but still want to keep it casual, try a cool piece of outerwear like this longline vest. You could also try a fun shearling jacket, quilted jacket, fun puffer, or edgy cargo jacket…the possibilities are endless! Underneath the vest I’m wearing a white Alice + Olivia blouse I got this summer.
Casual Oversized Blazers for Fall
In and still look good, I️ totally recommend wearing a poncho style like this one! This one is so cozy and warm and looks casual yet cute when paired with a bit of denim and some matching socks. These are leather blazers for women are essential for the cooler weather and go with any style clothing to pair with (especially gold jewelry, sneakers and jeans!). As a summer staple, these long dresses work well in the fall too. Layer a maxi dress with an on-trend knit sweater and pair of Jackie O’ style sungglasses for bonus style points. Despite being the comfiest, most casual look on this list, this black two-piece lounge set still manages to look seriously cool.
Long cardigans very often overwhelm my petite frame (I’m 5’1″) and if I don’t absolutely love something, it doesn’t get a place in my closet. If long cardigans are your thing, this one was really pretty and warm. I loved the burgundy but it comes in other colors too.
I styled them with a cutout turtleneck sweater that’s one of those great wardrobe basics with a twist that I always talk about. I completed the look with some black heels and a black handbag. Since I’m one that loves to dress up for the holidays, or any occasion really, I paired the dress with a leather jacket and over-the-knee boots! What I love about this leather jacket is that it has gold hardware!
It’s super lightweight so you’ll stay cool even in warmer climates . It’s also thin enough to layer beautifully under blazers and it’s incredibly flattering. The white part of the dress starts above the natural waist, so it creates the look of a shorter torso and a tinier waist. While in contrast, the black section minimizes the tummy, hips, butt, and thighs and creates the illusion of longer legs. This next look is perfect for the dressier Thanksgiving!
Another great way to dress up any of your Thanksgiving outfits is to add a statement blazer. I’m wearing a cool houndstooth blazer by Anine Bing. I love the print, oversized fit, and versatile black/white color combo. I styled it with the same black pants, a lace cami, and black booties.
With cozy white and suede details, this modern take on a Canadian tuxedo really works. Pair this rad denim jacket with light wash Levi’s and some slip-on Vans. We love how this ruffle wrap skirt screams fall, with deep purples and oranges — but for a bolder boho look it also comes in winter green and rust orange. Make the Thanksgiving dinner party your personal runway with this ribbed cut-out midi dress! It’s cozy, chic, and just the right amount of sexy for a Friendsgiving feast. Can give your outerwear an extra touch of fall detailing, too without being overpowering looking with dark colors for the season.
